1. First you will be assigned to team of 4 students
2. Along with being a researcher for the newscast team you will also pick a role to be in your group:
Lead Anchor - Your job entails summarizing the interview during the newscast. You will be to be the director of the group by keeping everyone on task and making sure your team meets the deadlines.
In the field Anchor - Your job will be to proofread and edit the interview questions. Are they well written? Do they make sense? Are they easy to understand?
Photographer/Graphic Artist - You are responsible for photographing your newscast. You are also in charge of uploading the pictures and videos onto the computer.
Producer - Your job will be to build your newscast video. You will be in charge of developing the end result of the newscast. You will help with the dialogue of the entire newscast
Everyone is responsible for the end product make sure to help those that need it.
3. Your newscast team will be assigned a historical figure or event that you will research in depth about.
4. Your team will work together to develop an appropriate dialogue in order to conduct the newscast.
5. Your news will consist of at least one short video and two still pictures with two separate voice files.
6. Your news will consist of the Lead Anchor welcoming the local area and leading into the “Lead Story.” The In The Field Anchor will conduct an interview with an important person. The Lead Anchor with then summarize the interview.
7. You will be able to use a digital camera for the newscast and windows Movie-Maker a log with a microphone to put it together.
